Jess Dolan is a fiction writer based in the Scottish Borders. In 2025, she won Glasgow Women’s Library Bold Types: Scottish Women’s Creative Writing Competition for poetry. Her work was also shortlisted for the Bridport Short Story prize in 2024 and 2025, and she was the second-place winner in the Frazzled Lit Short Story Competition 2025.

Jess was a recipient of the Scottish Book Trust New Writers Award 2025. She is currently seeking agent representation.
